Guatemala Guard | Expansion Team Concept
Intro
The Guatemala Guard is an NBA Expansion team concept. The visual identity is centered around the Mayan god "Balam" a jaguar being beilved to guard and protect the Mayans ans their crops. Mayan warriors wore jagaur helements into battle to honor balam and for his protection. Taking inseration from Guatemalan culture and the help of my beatiful Mayan wife, I intertwined basketball branding with key signafiers of Guatemalan culture. I developed a full branding kit with Logo package, Typography syestem, Court, Jerseys, and social applications.
